Welcome back, Potterheads! Last week we discussed my top eight favorite Harry Potter scenes in honor of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opening at Universal Studios Hollywood. This week’s spotlight goes back to normal as we discuss the bad boy wizard we all loved to hate: Tom Felton, more famously known as Draco Malfoy.

The 28-year-old actor had originally auditioned for the role of Harry Potter, and also auditioned for Ronald Weasley before landing the role of Draco Malfoy. As Felton stated in an interview with the Daily Mail UK, “Let’s be honest: we weren’t picked for Harry Potter for our acting ability – it was because we looked like the characters as they’d been written.” With that blonde hair and bad boy looks, he definitely fit the role of Draco in my eyes.

Felton has had quite the resume of movies and television shows under his wand since Harry Potter ended in 2011. In fact, about six days after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 had finished filming Felton was already in Vancouver shooting Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Directly after Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Felton had landed a large role in the horror film The Apparition. This movie came out in 2012 and starred Ashley Greene (famously known as Alice Cullen from the Twilight Saga) as well as Sebastian Stan (known for his role as Bucky Barnes in Captain America). Shortly after his horror film trial, he also tried his wand in the sports film genre with his role as Edward in From the Rough.

Felton’s resume continues on with movies and shows such as In Secret (2013), Belle (2013), Full Circle (Television Show 2013), Murder in the First (Television Show 2014), Against the Sun (2014), Risen (2016), Stratton (2016), Message from the King (2016), Leavey (post-production 2016), Sheep & Wolves (Filming 2016) and Feed (Filming 2016).

As an avid dog lover myself, I feel the need to Slytherin the fact that Felton consistently posts photos of dogs on his Instagram account. You can just call me, Kylie Felton.
Besides acting, Felton is still glorified in the Harry Potter community and had just recently attended the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Hollywood. In fact, he even gave anticipating fans a video tour of the world itself with Bryan Alexander from USA Today. The magical video can be seen above.

Tom Felton has had quite the career on camera even post-Potter. Throughout his transformation as an actor, I am extremely pleased with where he is going and continue to look forward to his new and upcoming movies.

Don't forget to apparate back here next week as we continue on with the villain theme and discuss Ralph Fiennes and what he has been up to since his Lord Voldemort days. If you don't know what apparate means, you're more than likely a muggle and you may just surf the internet to get back here to my magical blog!
