Welcome back, Potterheads! A few weeks ago, we discussed Ralph Fiennes, and what he has been doing post-Potter. As the semester comes to a close and I look back on all of the Harry Potter cast members that we discussed, I realize how far each and every single actor or actress has come since their wizarding days. With that being said, what does J.K. Rowling have in store for her fans that just can't seem to put their wands down?

A new trilogy based on the wizarding world, of course! Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a film that takes place in the wizarding world; however, it takes place about 70 years before Harry Potter and his friends come into the picture. This story follows Newton Scamander, a "magizoologist," in the 1920's who must track down an array of magical creatures in New York.

This movie is filled with an all-star cast including Ezra Miller as Credence, Eddie Redmayne as Newton Scamander, Colin Farrell as Percival Graves and Ron Perlman as Gnarlack.

This movie will be based off the idea of book entitled Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them and is Rowling's screenwriting debut. Warner Brothers approached Rowling with the idea of creating a movie based on the spin-off Harry Potter book in which Rowling stated on her Facebook page that she would only revisit the world of wizardry if she had an idea she was really excited about, "and this is it." Rowling also stated, "Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards, where I was so happy for 17 years, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world."

The trailer for the first of the upcoming trilogy can be found above. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be hitting theaters in November of this year. My avid Harry Potter fans are sure to have noticed the reprised version of Hedwig's Theme used in the trailer. Although Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley will not be featured in this movie, you can be sure that you will be able to understand the 1920's version of the wizarding world regardless. I know I'm not the only Potterhead to be excited to see Rowling's take on older take of the wizarding world in the United States!

So with that, the semester comes to a close. I would like to personally thank everybody for sticking with me this semester and learning more about the Harry Potter cast than I ever could have imagined. I hope all of my readers enjoyed learning about where your favorite Harry Potter cast members are now as much as I enjoyed researching it. It is unfortunate to announce that you do not need to apparate back here next week as this Potterhead is apparating to a sunny beach far away from her University. How else do I end this magical blog but with the last sentence from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: All was well.
